Charlie Mc Creevy was born in 1949, worked as a chartered accountant before 1977 when he was first elected to the Irish Parliament. Minister for Social welfare, Minister for Tourism and Trade and latterly (1997) Minister for Finance. Now European Commissioner responsible for Internal Market and Services.
